Procedure

The 6 strips are untied and set up so that the bamboo knots of each strip is offset one to the other ; in this way they will not coincide in the finished rod because these knot areas have no linear continuity in wood fibers as other areas of the strips.

After this operation, once they are re-tied properly together, the strips will be trimmed to bring them back to the same length.
